Generator Hire & Sales in Coonamble, NSW

Coonamble sits around 164km north of our Dubbo workshop on the Castlereagh River, in wheat, sheep and cattle country that’s known for its extreme temperature swings and unpredictable rainfall. When floods, storms or grid outages hit the district, JDC Thomson keeps Coonamble’s farms, businesses and shearing sheds running with reliable backup power.

We’re an authorised dealer for Cummins, Caterpillar, Kubota, Powerlink, Pramac and Genelite, with units from 5kVA portable sets through to 1200kVA systems available for hire or purchase, all backed by genuine manufacturer support.

Whether you need short-term hire for shearing season or an emergency, a standby set for a Coonamble farm or business, or want to buy outright, we deliver, install and service generators throughout Coonamble and the wider Castlereagh district. Call (02) 6884 5210 to talk through what you need.

Maintenance plan

Critical to the reliability of your generator investment is a comprehensive maintenance plan.

We can design a plan to suit your specific application or review one of your own design.

Our fully-equipped workshop and mobile service vehicles provide 24/7, worry-free, one-stop maintenance of your new and existing generator installations — regardless of brand, size or application.

Load testing and diagnostics

JDC Thomson has Mobile Load Banks ranging from 10 to 600kw for load testing of generating sets.

With the aid of specialised test equipment and recorders, our qualified team can diagnose your site conditions and problems and provide professional reports that detail the findings. This includes suggested corrective actions if required.

Generator hire and installation

We also offer an extensive modern range of hire generators designed to meet the rigorous demands of modern industry, including mining and workcover regulation compliant units.

All units are fitted with RCD (Residual Current Device) circuit breaker protection to power outlet where applicable.

Customers can collect units from our Dubbo workshop, or we can deliver and install throughout Coonamble and surrounding grazing properties. Our service vehicles carry out on-site maintenance and load testing so Coonamble customers rarely need to bring equipment back to Dubbo for routine servicing.

Our larger units can be connected by any suitably qualified electrician or we can provide a connection service on site if required.
